Techint upgrades Russian pickling lines
Techint Technologies, Italy, has recently announced the start-up of the rebuilding of an existing pickling line and the conversion of a second pickling line, from sulfuric to hydrochloric acid, for the Russian company Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works. The contract, which was signed in October 2002, also covers the supply of two acid regeneration plants, a new slitting line and two new entry sections to the existing skin pass mills. The start-up of both lines is scheduled for spring 2004.
