Wardwell Europe is formed
Wardwell Braiding Machine Co. USA, has recently announced the merger of its two German subsidiaries, Schnellflechter Berlin and Spirka Maschinenbau, to form a new entity: Wardwell Europe GmbH. In making the announcement, Mr Jonathan Farnum, president and CEO of Wardwell, commented: "The new efficiencies this merger has produced are already becoming evident to our customers in improved response time, greater product selection, and new product development”. A new logo, incorporating the designs of the two companies’ previous logos, has been developed to identify the new entity. Also, a new web site address, www.wardwelleurope.com, and a new e-mail address, [email protected], have been established to facilitate direct contact with Wardwell Europe.
The existing manufacturing facilities in Alfeld and Berlin have been retained, and Wardwell Europe is continuing to actively develop, manufacture, sell, and service both the Spirka and Schnellflechter product lines. The combination of administrative, technical, and service functions has already resulted in more efficient production and service capacity at both sites, according to Mr Farnum.
