140 years in cold wire processing

Specialising in the design and manufacture of machines for wire processing, the German company C.H. Kuhne Maschinenbau GmbH has recently celebrated its 140th Anniversary. The company was founded in September 1863, providing the wire industry with machines for the production of nails, rivets and parts that were required in large quantities at that time. In 1890, the company increased its portfolio by introducing machines for the production of screws.

After moving to the Rhine area at the end of the second World War, the company focused on intensive and highly specialised developments to provide high-quality wire transforming machines, that today are being exported throuhout the world. Kuhne’s headers are world-wide used in various industries such as automobile, aviation, electrical, bearing, furniture, construction industry and many others. The cold transforming technology permits the highly precise production of mass-produced articles such as rivets, screws, balls and rollers for anti-friction bearings, made from steel and non-ferrous metal.
