CORPORATE NEWS:
Fastener event to be co-located at Interwire 2007
The International Fastener Machinery & Suppliers Association (IFMSA) and Wire Association International (WAI) have agreed to co-locate two important wire and cable industry exhibitions: the International Fastener Exposition (IFE) and the Interwire Trade Exhibition.
The combined trade exhibitions will be held from 5–10th May 2007, at the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
The coordinated event will essentially bring together two shows for the benefit of the cross-over attendees and the exhibitors, servicing both the fastener and wire segments of the industry. IFMSA represents 92 companies that sell equipment, supplies and services to the worldwide fastener industry.
“We are excited to bring an efficiency to the exhibition experience that mirrors the activity of the industry,” WAI President Brian Bouvier said. “For the cost of one registration, attendees will have the opportunity to tour both shows and exhibitors can now focus their resources on the combined event.”
“The co-location of these two events marks the return of similar combination that occurred in the 1980s,” said IFMSA’s Ray Zirkle. “From the rod and accessory suppliers to the many equipment manufacturers that service both the wire and fastener markets, there is great value in linking the two events.”
The I-X Center, which is adjacent to Cleveland’s Hopkins International Airport, is ideally situated to attract drive-in attendees from this industry hub as well as from throughout the Americas.
