Wardwell Europe consolidates in Germany to improve efficiency
The Wardwell Braiding Machine Company has announced plans to consolidate its two German manufacturing plants, currently located in Alfeld and Berlin. The company expects the combined sales and manufacturing facility to be fully operational in Berlin by 30th November 2006.
In making the announcement, Jonathan Farnum, President and CEO of Wardwell, said: “This is the final phase of our long-term plan to create the highest possible levels of efficiency and service for the many international customers served by our European facilities.All existing machine lines will continue to be available from Berlin after the consolidation. We anticipate our customers will experience improved response time, greater product selection, and further new product development as a result of the efficiencies this consolidation will produce.”
By combining administrative, technical and service functions, Wardwell anticipates that even more efficient production and service capacity will be available. In addition to providing ongoing sales and service of new braiding machines, the consolidated location in Berlin will continue to offer genuine replacement parts for all machines and equipment dating back to the earliest models manufactured by Wardwell.
