Fisk Alloy doubles production capacity
At the beginning of the year, Fisk Alloy Conductors Inc (a division of Fisk Alloy Wire Inc) acquired the assets of Strandflex located in Oriskany, New York.
A producer of speciality steel cable products, Strandflex closed in April last year. Fisk is reopening the plant, adding new wire drawing and heat treating equipment thus increasing production capacity for its line of RoHS-compliant Percon alloy conductors.
The acquisition of the Strandflex plant more than doubles Fisk’s alloy conductor manufacturing capacity and capabilities. The company is also bringing the revamped plant up to full quality certification.
