Meltech management go it alone
The management team at Meltech Engineering has undertaken a manage-ment buy-out from parent company
Pentre Group.
This will allow Meltech to develop its growing role as a leading supplier of bespoke in-line furnace and winding equipment for a wide range of industries in the UK and internationally. Founded over 30 years ago, Meltech specialises in com-plex engineering projects in heat treatment and winding equipment for cable, extruded metals and plastics.
Peter Drever, Meltech’s Sales and Marketing Director, believes the buy-out will allow Meltech to develop and invest in new equipment and skills in taking the business forward. “Our customers are driven by the desire to improve quality, maximise plant production and in so doing increase their competitive edge. The ability to undertake and deliver complex, and often bespoke, projects means investing in equipment and skills to ensure we continue to achieve significant productivity improvements for their businesses,” he said.
Financier Marcus Moir joins the Meltech Engineering management team as both an investor in the business and Chairman. Mr Moir says: “Meltech is a solid engineering company with an enviable track record as both an innovator and deliverer of high quality equipment – key ingredients of a successful business. I look forward to working with the Meltech management team in growing the business.”
