New company in refurbishing sector
Cable Machinery Spares (CMS) is a new company specialising in the refurbishment of a wide range of cable making, wire drawing and braiding machinery together with ancillary equipment. It will also carry stocks of genuine spare parts.
CMS has been formed by a group of engineers including Chris Livesey of Beaumont Machinery. They have wide experience of cable making machinery,
with many of them having previously worked for B&F; Carter, Winget Syncro or Babcock Wire Equipment.
The company maintains extensive contract records and original design drawings for over 70 different types of machinery. This enables key components and spare parts to be easily identified and replaced.
The ranges of machinery covered include: B&F; Carter braiders and stranders; Winget Syncro and Babcock wire rod breakdown machinery; Winget Syncro wire drawing machinery; Hanson & Edwards tubular stranders and closing machines; and Shackleton industrial and specialist gearboxes.
CMS also has a wide range of ancillary equipment for the above ranges, including winders, annealers, spoolers, coilers, pointer/ stringers and dancers.
Managing Director Chris Livesey comments: “There are large numbers of these well proven machines in use throughout the world, requiring expert service and maintenance. Recent months have seen greatly increased activity in this field and substantial growth in sales of genuine spares and refurbish-ment services, often greatly extending the useful life of manufacturing plant.” Service, maintenance and plant relocation services are also provided for other makes of machinery and new equipment can be supplied if required.
