DuPont appoints Distrupol distributor in Baltic States
Distrupol, a leading European polymer distributor, technical service and solutions provider, has been appointed sole distri-butor for DuPont’s Engineering Polymers business in the Baltic States.
The agreement covers the distribution of DuPont’s engineering plastics throughout Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Distrupol will provide in-region resources to ensure the same high standard of service enjoyed by its customers across Europe.
The Baltic represents an important growth area for both DuPont and Distrupol and the recent accession of the Baltic States to the EU has given added impetus to business development in the region.
DuPont’s decision to appoint Distrupol as its distributor for these three key countries was based on its success in representing the company’s engineering polymers in the Nordic countries, the UK and Ireland.
This was reinforced by the fact that there are synergistic benefits to be gained by working with a single distributor across a region that shares similar cultural and business practices.
In commenting on the appointment, Ulf Bruder, Marketing Manager for the Nordic countries and the Baltic States at DuPont Engineering Polymers, confirmed that it reflected DuPont’s strategy to serve customers wherever in the world they do business and to partner with key distributors to ensure that service is the best available.
