Has Çelik invests in capacity for aluminium wire
Has Çelik is one of the largest aluminium and steel producers in Turkey. The company recently expanded in the Kayseri Free Zone in central Turkey. This new facility is for the production of various grades of aluminium wire rods (Grades 1350, 6101 and 6201) and Grade 8176 alloy wire rods.
The new line was supplied by Continuus Properzi of Italy and has a capacity of
4.5 tonnes per hour in different diameters
and temper conditions. Added to its existing capacity of 2.5 tonnes per hour, Has Çelik says it will have the largest production capacity of aluminium wire rod in the country.
The new products will mainly be used for electricity transmission and distribution lines as well as extrusion parts for the automotive industry, household appliances (such as refrigerators) and for cladding.
