A second Properzi FRHC copper rod line sold to Russia
ZAO Finao of Russia, with the backing of the Transstroy Bank, recently signed a contract with Continuus-Properzi, Italy, for the supply of an 80-tonne Properzi refining furnace and an 11 tonnes per hour CCR line for the production of high quality copper rod starting from 100% copper scrap. After start-up of a Properzi copper line at Nalkat in 2004,
this additional sale confirms that the FRHC technology is successfully making its way into Russia, as in other world markets, says the Italian company.
The line, from furnaces to CCR machinery and know-how, is fully supplied by Continuus-Properzi and supported by the technological and field experience of La Farga Lacambra, Spain. The line is equipped for the production of round and flat section copper rod and has an automatic double coiler for compact coils – particularly appropriate for large diameter rod. This line is also suited for producing both copper and copper alloy products,
thanks to the Properzi ‘three-rolls’ rolling technology.
