Wire equipment returns ‘home’ to Candor Sweden
Candor Sweden has bought the wire equipment department of Outokumpu Fabrication Technologies (OFT) and all the employees have now transferred to Candor’s facilities in Norrköping, Sweden.
Outokumpu’s wire department was originally founded and developed by Candor in 1975 before it was purchased by Outokumpu Oy in 1993. So in a
sense, the wire equipment department
is moving ‘home’ again.
Candor Sweden AB was founded in 1946 and specialises in processes, metals, spare parts and equipment for the surface treatment and metal finishing industries. The company has about 50 employees in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. “We know that the synergy between Outokumpu’s wire department and the chemical and process know-how of Candor Sweden AB will be beneficial for both ourselves and our customers,” says Candor.
Between them, Candor Sweden AB and Outokumpu’s wire department have supplied over 300 plants to more than 25 countries all over the world. The biggest market is, naturally, the Nordic region of Europe but others include Germany, America, South Korea, China and Asia generally.
Candor will be exhibiting at both wire 2006 in Düsseldorf and wire China 2006 in Shanghai and specialists will be present as follows: John Lindh (Sales Manager – wire & strip equipment) and Göran Brönnert (Project Manager & Sales).
