Exports grow at Hangzhou SANP
The Chinese wire machinery specialist Hangzhou SANP has reported sales growth, especially in its export markets. In 2004 the company sold 1,120 of its HGSB high-speed braiding machines and notched up turnover of 72,000,000 RMB (approximately equivalent to US$9m). Of this, just under half was made through exports to Europe (60%), America (10%), Japan (10%) and countries in Asia and Africa 20%.
As well as the HGSB high-speed braiding machine, Hangzhou SANP also makes the HBSJ-2/3 rewinding machine. The company has more than 200 sets of processing equipment and complete assembly lines giving it the capacity to produce more than 2,000 machines a year. A spokesman for the company says: “We are making every effort to produce the best braiding machine in the world and make our product available throughout the global marketplace.” Hangzhou SANP is a joint venture company with 310 employees working from a modern 9,000m2 factory in the eastern province of Zhejiang.
