wire Düsseldorf already bigger
With about six months left until the start of the world's leading wire trade fair, Messe Düsseldorf has revealed that the number of exhibitors for wire 2006 already exceeds wire 2004 by 116.
The 813 companies that had made their reservations (by mid-September) have booked a total of 46,100m2 – 3,500m2 more than for the corresponding period for wire 2004. The event is also increasing its geographical spread with companies from Bulgaria, Croatia, Portugal and Tunisia represented for the first time. And the following countries have increased their leased exhibition areas: Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan and Turkey.
The organisers feel that the wire, cable and tube industry sectors are defying "the macroeconomic pessimism" and are "showcasing their willingness to grow at the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds from 24–28th April 2006".
