CORPORATE NEWS:

RFS opens Russian coax cable plant

In response to Russia’s growing domestic market, Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) has set up a Moscow-based manufacturing facility for its Cellflex™ feeder cable.

The new RFS coaxial transmission line manufacturing facility is one of Russia’s first and it allows the company to deliver feeder cable to its Russian customers, in most cases, within one day.

According to Michael Schüler, head of the RFS Moscow representative office, the objective was to decentralise the production process: “Our philosophy is for production to be located where the customers are – this means we can respond more accurately to their needs.”

The facility produces coaxial feeder cable for the Russian mobile and wireless infrastructure sector. It is also the manufacturing centre for auxiliary feeder cable products such as connectors, jumpers, ground kits and accessories.

Radio Frequency Systems designs and manufactures cable and antenna systems plus active and passive RF conditioning modules and provides total-package solutions for wireless infrastructure.

The company serves Original Equipment Manufacturers, distributors, system inte-grators, operators and installers in the broadcast, cellular, land-mobile and microwave market sectors.

With manufacturing and customer service facilities that span the globe, RFS claims to offer “cutting-edge engineering capabilities, superior field support and innovative product design”.
