| Rad-Con Group Co, USA, has recently announced that its division Entec Systems International Inc has been selected by the American company International Steel Group (ISG) Inc. for the delivery of a CAPS� V5 suite annealing optimisation software. Installation of the Entec thermal modeling and scheduling system will increase ISG�s cold roll capacity and product consistency through optimisation of annealing cycles and asset utilisation. The system was expected to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2003.
Entec Systems International, who provides consulting, process automation and optimisation solutions for batch annealing, has installed its first heating model at this same facility in 1978. ISG Inc. is the newest competitor in the global steel industry. The company was formed by W.L. Ross & Co. LLC to create value through the profitable operation of globally competitive steel plants.
