Founded in 1989, Shanghai Kingstone Cable & Equipment Co Ltd widely invested in production lines to permit the company to design and manufacture high-quality machinery for the production of Cat. 5 and Cat. 6 cables. In 1998, two years after this massive investment, the company produced, via its newly designed machines, a 100MHz Cat.5 (UTP) cable that met the EIA/TIA568 and ISO/IEC11801 standards. Few months later, the company produced a 155MHz Cat.5 cable and one year later, a 350MHz data cable was produced in co-operation with the Chinese company Jiangsu Yongding Group Co Ltd. With the application of its Cat. 5 and Super Cat. 5 cable equipment, SKS not only improved some technical indices of precision requirement, but also successfully met the standard of 350MHz data cable. By the end of 2000, Shanghai Kingstone Cable & Equipment successfully launched single-pair cabling machine product line unit which can produce 4 to 25 pair UTP, FTP, STP or SSTP data cables. These machines can also produce up to 200 pair data cables.

Shanghai Kingstone Cable & Equipment provides the cable industry with a wide portfolio of machines that comprises, among others, high-speed pairing annealing machines (models PTBH-500, SPL-2000E); high-accuracy drawing-extruding-preheat lines (automatic tray-diversion take-up machine with automatic movement equipment for the trays).
