| Nextrom Holding SA, Switzerland, the world�s premier supplier of manufacturing solutions and services to the fibre optic industry, has announced that the first OFC40 secondary coating line built by Nextrom in its Shanghai site according to European standards, was recently delivered to Shenyang Hengtong Optical Communication Co. Ltd. The line was commissioned in only two weeks and provides a constructional speed of 500m/min and a process speed of 300m/min. With this new secondary coating line, Shenyang Hengtong will produce loose and central tube fibre optic cables. Shenyang Hengtong is a joint-venture of Jiangsu Hengtong Photoelectric Stock Co. Ltd, which is ranked for 3 years n� 2 in the fibre optic cable industry in P.R China. Nextrom has been a supplier for the Hengtong Group for many years already.
Nextrom secondary coating line comprises new solutions for very efficient production, such as minimised scrap combined with high-speed and short set-up time. The high-speed secondary coating line OFC 40 is especially designed for loose tube production, but it can also be modified for fibre bundle or premises cable production. More than 320 units are in operation world-wide.
