| Sandvik Materials Technology, Sweden, a world leading producer of high-technology stainless steels, special alloy materials and advanced value-added products, has recently announced the opening of a new European distribution centre for stainless steel products at Venlo, The Netherlands. The new 12,500m2 facility will be used to service distributors and end-users in Beneleux and Germany, providing customers with Sandvik�s standard, commercial range of stainless steel tubes and pipes, bars, hollow bars, as well as fittings and flanges. A full material processing capability has been installed for cutting, marking, destructive and non-destructive testing, bevelling and packing.
Mr Gerald Kreischer, European sales and marketing manager, commented: �The new distribution centre will give our Benelux and German customers easy access to an extensive, stock product range, available in 24 to 48 hours when necessary. Most products will be of Sandvik origin, which gives customers the added assurance of controlled manufacturing quality from steel melt to the finished product. Complementary products from reputable suppliers will round-off the product programme�.
