| Since 1960, PS Costruzioni Meccaniche Srl, Italy, has specialised in the manufacture of both semi-automatic and fully automatic coiling/spooling, boxing and rewinding lines. The company has recently announced the successful delivery of two important winding lines to Pirelli Group, Italy. Designed for short cable length coils, the first line, model PS 200/8-2, will be used to wind-up:
- 10 coils/min, 5m long - cable type 6242Y: 2 x 1.0mm2;
- 10 coils/min, 5m long - cable type 6242Y: 2 x 1.5mm2;
- 8.8 coils/min, 5m long - cable type 6242Y: 2 x 6.0mm2;
- 8,8 coils/min, 10m long - cable type 6242Y: 2 x 1.0mm2;
- 8,8 coils/min, 10m long - cable type 6242Y: 2 x 1.5mm2;
- 5,3 coils/min, 25m long - cable type 6242Y: 2 x 1.0mm2;
- 5,3 coils/min, 25m long - cable type 6242Y: 2 x 1.5mm2;
- 4,5 coils/min, 10m long - cable type 6243Y: 2 x 10mm2.
The second purchased line, model PS 400/14-B, is designed to wind cables onto spools ranging from 200 up to 400mm �. The line is suitable for cables diameters ranging from 2 up to 16mm.
