At wire Dsseldorf 2004, where the company highlighted its wide range of innovative heat-treatment process solutions, Mr Steve Baskerville, general manager, commented: "The advantages of using Radynes clean, safe, highly cost-effective induction heating technology are well-known across a wide range of sectors. We can re-enforce the very real efficiencies that can be achieved by Radyne systems in the processes of hardening and tempering, annealing, straightening, bonding and stress relieving. Considerable interest are shown in our ability to provide wide-ranging complete turnkey solutions and to engineer technologies that are proven to deliver significant improvements in output.
With significant growth across Eastern Europe and Asia, Radyne were also particularly delighted to welcome delegates from these markets. Considerable interest was shown in our recently introduced Precision High-Speed Spring Wire Line, added Mr Baskerville. The new line has been developed for specialised markets, such as chrome-silicon and chrome-silicon-vanadium spring wire. Operating at speeds of up to 180m/min, a production rate of typically 3 tonnes per hour is achievable, with wire diameters ranging from 2 to 16mm that are being produced to the very highest standards. Fast and efficient, we firmly believe it is revolutionising the manufacturing process, commented Mr Baskerville who concluded: At the same time, the well-proven Radyne Hi-Bond wire lines process, created especially for use in the construction industry, continued to generate high-levels of interest.
