| The Wire Association International (WAI) Inc. and the American Wire Producers Association (AWPA) have recently announced the synchronisation of their programmes to co-locate WAIs Wire Expo event with the AWPAs spring operations managers meeting, in Cleveland, Ohio, June 12-16, 2004, bringing together wire industry activities and creating added learning and networking opportunities for industry colleagues. We are very pleased to work with the AWPA toward a programme that will mutually benefit our respective members. Our goal is to carefully schedule activities, so that people who planned on attending the AWPA meeting can also benefit from the Wire Expo experience. Basically, we are extending the audience and adding to the potential mix of attendees to enrich both events, commented Mr Steven J. Fetteroll, WAI executive director.
AWPAs executive director, Kimberly Korbel and the AWPAs operations steering committee are committed to providing quality opportunities to AWPA members and are looking forward to participating with the WAI members in the Expo hall and the various learning events offered by the Wire Association. Mrs Korbel said, We find a great synergy in working with the Wire Association and we look forward to offering our mutual members this enhanced programme. WAI President, David F. Richards, is also optimistic about plans to work with an allied association particularly after WAIs most recent experience with the many collaborators and supporters of the international technical conference in Stresa, Italy, and the positive outcome there.
