| WCISA, USA, a non-profit corporate membership organisation open to suppliers of wire and cable machinery and equipment, materials, process accessories and controls, has recently announced that it will support two wire and cable trade shows in 2004. WCISA is a supporting sponsor of Wire Expo 2004. Known as the WAI�s �Great American Road Show for Wire and Cable�, the event will take place from June 12 to 16, 2004 at the Cleveland Convention Center in Cleveland, OH, USA. WCISA and many of its member companies will be featuring the latest technology and techniques used to manufacture all types of wire and cable products.
WCISA has also announced that it will be an official supporter of wire China 2004, the new exhibition organised by Messe D�sseldorf, Germany, and that will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), from October 25 to 28, 2004 (refer to EuroWire N� 33). By supporting wire China 2004, WICSA joins the world�s top trade associations ACIMAF (Italy), AWCMA (Austria), IWCEA (Germany), IWCEA-France (France) and IWMA (UK), who have already confirmed their agreement to sponsor wire China 2004. WCISA and many of its members will be participating in the wire China 2004 trade exposition to tap the sales and marketing opportunities offered in the growing Chinese market.
In addition to 2004 trade show participation, WCISA has also announced that the Board of Directors has accepted the applications of four new member companies: CommScope, a world leading supplier of copper clad steel and copper clad aluminium; Leoni Wire Inc., a producer of a wide range of copper and copper alloy wires; Vollmer America Inc., a provider of measurement and control equipment to the metal-producing industry; and InfoSight Corp, a provider of traceability and automatic product marking systems.
