100% hydrogen annealing system improves capabilities
Designing and manufacturing batch annealing equipment for the ferrous and non-ferrous wire and sheet markets, the Rad-Con Group, USA, a leading supplier of 100% hydrogen annealing systems, has recently announced that the American company Ametek Specialty Metal Products has placed an order to upgrade to 100% hydrogen anneal. The upgrade will take place at the companys metal strip, thermal management products and wire facility in Wallingford, Connecticut. Once operational, this new equipment will allow Ametek to improve its annealing capabilities across a broad range of products. Improved temperature uniformity and dew point control will lead to superior product quality.

AMETEK Specialty Metal Products is a leader and innovator in the production of alloy strip, metal powders, shaped wire, and thermal management metal-matrix composites. The companys wrought powder metallurgy strip products cover a wide range of alloy systems including ultra-high-purity nickel, nickel-iron, copper-nickel-tin, and cobalt alloys. These strip alloys are used in markets relating to superconductivity, electronic, and battery applications.
