| Corporate Cable Solutions (CCS) Ltd, UK, a provider of data communications and OEM products, has recently gained approval for an industry standard relating to cable and wire harness assemblies, being one the first companies receiving this certification. CCS will now be using the new certification to extend its expertise into new areas, in particular the military sector. The certification programme, IPC/WHMA-A-620 for Acceptability in Cable and Wire Harness Manufacture, has been set-up as a joint-venture between the Wire Harness Manufacturers� Association and IPC. As well as satisfying a need in relation to MOD contracts and tenders, it will provide a benchmark for customers as a whole.
The certification covers individual staff involved in manufacturing and supplying cables. At CCS, this applies to the specialists most closely involved in the highly technical design, manufacture, advisory and application work. CCS makes cables to OEM specifications, as well as supplying low-cost moulded cables and metalwork to suit any application.
