| The LOI Group has recently announced the acquisition of all the shares of Drever International SA, a Belgian company specialising in continuous furnace plants for steel strip, as well as its subsidiary Drever Systems SA from the Superior Group Inc., USA. Drever International is a market leader for continuous annealing furnaces and galvanizing plants for steel and stainless steel strip. Dr. Hermann Stumpp, chairman of the LOI Thermprocess management board, commented: �The LOI Group now offers a full range of furnace plants for steel strip and is already the market leader in most segments�. The production capacity of high-grade steel strip plants installed by LOI and Drever over the past 15 years totals more than 50 million tonnes per year.
The LOI Group�s German companies LOI Thermprocess GmbH and Schmitz+Apelt LOI specialise in the design and manufacture of large furnaces designed for the rolling mills of the steel industry, the automobile and vehicle components industries, as well as the light metals industry. One of the LOI Group�s main product lines is bell-type furnace plants for the annealing of steel strip in an atmosphere of pure hydrogen.
