DSM Desotech Inc., USA, a world leader in the development and supply of UV-curable materials, has recently earned ISO 14001 certification for their sales and manufacturing facility in Hoek van Holland, the Netherlands. ISO 14001 is a worldwide standard marking the successful implementation of a comprehensive Environmental Management System (EMS). To receive the certification, Desotech�s Hoek van Holland site has developed an EMS that successfully encompasses a series of environmental specifications including:
- A formal environmental policy including objectives and targets;
- An environmental emergency plan;
- An evaluation of suppliers� goods and services with regard to environmental impacts;
- Identification of all regulatory requirements and an evaluation of compliance;
- Implementation of effective training, communication and documentation pertaining to environmental standards.
