| Maschinenfabrik Niehoff GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, one of the world's leading manufacturers of machinery for the wire and cable industry, and Steuler Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG, a German company specialising in the galvanic refinement of wire surfaces, have recently signed an exclusive co-operation agreement to manufacture lines for the galvanic plating of non-ferrous metal wires with tin, silver, nickel and zinc. The new galvanic plants will be pre-assembled by Steuler and completed and tested by Niehoff. All global sales, marketing and service activities will be performed by Niehoff, its subsidiaries and agencies. Both Niehoff and Steuler will continue to provide spare parts and technical support for their galvanic plants already existing and in operation on the market. The goal of the two partners under this co-operation is to jointly optimise and further develop the new plants in order to improve reliablity, processability and become more maintenance-friendly.
Steuler Anlagenbau GmbH develops, plans and builds plants world-wide for surface finishing, wire refinement, water and waste water treatment, regeneration, absorption, catalytic and flue gas cleaning applications. Maschinenfabrik Niehoff GmbH develops and builds machinery and lines for drawing, annealing, tin-plating, bunching, spooling and braiding of non-ferrous wires, plus machines for stranding and coiling of insulated conductors.
