Following successful contacts and agreements with leading Chinese industrialists and government officials, they are now able to announce increased support, together with improved facilities and conditions, for the new �wire� trade fair to be staged in Shanghai in 2004.

The China International Wire & Cable Trade Fair � �wire China�, will be held simultaneously with the China International Tube and Pipe Trade Fair � �Tube China� and �Essen Welding � China�, at the new Shanghai International Expo Centre from 25-28 October 2004.

Organised by Messe D�sseldorf China Ltd, a sister company of the Germany organiser of �wire D�sseldorf�, the new exhibition in Shanghai will be totally supported by the National Associations representing the major wire and cable exhibitor groups from Germany - VDKM, France - AFIEF, Austria - AWCMA and Italy - ACIMAF as well as the world-wide membership of the International Wire and Machinery Association � IWMA. Collectively these organisations represent the same �Industry Partners� for the renowned wire D�sseldorf held in Germany. Other industry related Associations are expected to add their support to wire China 2004 during the coming months.

Similar care has also been taken to secure the support of incumbent Institutes and Organisations within China, which represent the visitor/consumer sectors of these industries. It is announced that SECRI - the Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute, is now contracted to co-organise wire China 2004 with the support of the Metallurgical Council of CCPIT, the China Iron & Steel Association - CISA, the China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association � CNIA, the Chinese Society of Metals � CSM, the China Elecctric Apparatus Industrial Association, the China Electric Apparatus Industrial Association (the Electric Cable and Wire Branch), China General Machine Components Industry Association - Spring Professional Association and Research Institute of Steel Wire Product under China Iron and Steel Industry and Trade Group Corp. Additional Chinese sponsors are currently being selected.

Interested exhibitors who wish to participate independently of government sponsored national groups, can now obtain space and fitting details from the organisers. Members of the supporting trade associations, outside China, are recommended to contact their Association Headquarters for additional information on national government grants and group participation details.
