High speed hardware packaging lines
Weighpack, the Netherlands, has developed a high-speed packaging system especially for the handling of difficult,
low volume, high weight products. The heart of the system consists of a multihead combination weigher to be combined with extensive possible ancillary equipment.
Fasteners are fed through a magnetic upfeed belt, out of heavy-duty vibratory hoppers, into the combination weigher. Nails, screws, bolts etc in portions up to 2500g (5lbs) can be discharged with a weighing speed of up to 35 portions per minute at an extremely high accuracy.
The orientation magnet is capable of coordinating product into 4 boxes at the same time. A double head box erector, using hot-melt, is used to erect the boxes at high speed.
The machine can be changed over
very rapidly. After height detection and check weighing, the boxes are closed by
a Weighpack hot-melt carton closer.
A fully PC controlled thermotransfer labelling device assures you of flexible
and high quality, text, logo and barcode identification. Combined with pick-and-
lace unit, palletizer or other ancillary equipment, a fully automatic packaging line is formed
All Weighpack equipment is of a modular set-up which together forms a highly efficient packaging line, controlled through well considered synchronisation with statistical back up and unique code setting from product parameters allowing for a very fast changeover to another product reference.
