No brakes on success for Coremo Ocmea
Coremo Ocmea, established in Milan, Italy in 1960, manufactures a wide range of pneumatic brakes which are extensively used in the wire and cable industry worldwide. In 2004 Coremo Ocmea developed some innovative brakes for cable pay-off and stranding machines.
DUAL series: caliper disc brakes with both air-applied and spring-applied thruster.
Typical applications:
• tensioning and stopping in cable pay-off machines with one single caliper brake
• tensioning for spools on cable stranders where the air pressure is switched off during the night (the spring-applied chamber of the thruster closes the brake in order to keep the spool tensioned even without air pressure)
SMART series: mono-thruster compact pneumatic brakes for spools tensioning in cable stranders.
