Resonant test and partial discharge measuring systems
Specialising in the manufacture and supply of components, systems and turnkey test fields, including planning, design, training and after-sales service, Highvolt Prüftechnik Dresden GmbH, Germany, is experienced in the installation of complete test facilities, especially resonant test and partial discharge measuring systems for final tests on medium, high and extra-high voltage cables at the factory and after laying on-site. The test systems are also suited for Research & Development, routine and type tests, with all high-voltage applications such as AC, DC, LI or SI. Special design of resonant test systems with variable frequency ranging from 20 to 300Hz creates the conditions for real AC withstand tests on long cables after installation. Partial discharge tests including monitoring and diagnosis complete these withstand tests.
The systems can be operated by computer-aided control and measuring systems. One industry standard computer with WINDOWS NT and firmware enables the users to run the tests automatically. The software package generates a virtual front panel for testing devices and measuring instruments on the PC monitor. Different windows can be superimposed as it is well-known from the windows application. Additional hardware and software tools make it possible to check and supervise the computer-aided system via Internet or telephone from any place in the world. The user can not only read the data but can also send them to the German company for any support concerning data evaluation as well as test system adjustment or service.
