Spindle protection
Klaus Brankamp System GmbH, Germany, offers its process monitoring system CMS GT, designed to effectively protect machining centres from collisions and cost-intensive damages to spindles. A special sensor technology immediately recognises any sudden force changes and in 0.00165 second flat sends-out a signal that triggers an automatic switch-off of the machine. To avoid human failure, the system even helps users during the set-up of the machine.
The CMS GT provides optimum protection from consequential damage due to collisions in the event of a programming, set-up, or operating error. At the same time, it significantly reduces any stand-still times. The production data of all machinery is available on the GT terminal. In addition, data can also be individually called-up and evaluated in detail. Furthermore, the service mask provides the operator with an overview of any maintenance intervals.
