Connector-less test solution for coaxial cables
Offering a complete range of measurement solutions for data communication and telecommunication cables, DCM Industries Inc., USA, has recently introduced a new line of RF/coaxial cable test and measurement solutions, including:
- COAX-3000: a test automation software that completely automates the testing of RF and coaxial cables;
- CTS connector-less test fixtures that enable the testing of coaxial cables without adding connectors to the cable ends;
- TI-3000: a transfer impedance measuring system that offers an up-dated, and simplified testing method.
The CTS series of connector-less test solutions provides a fast and efficient method for coaxial cable producers to test the RF-parameters on finished cables. Using a connector-less test fixture, combined with de-embedding software and network analyser automation, the CTS solution provides a fast and efficient method for verifying RF-measurement parameters. All types and sizes of coaxial cables (from mini and micro to RG-types) can be measured without the need to add connectors to the ends of the cable.
DCM also offers a complete line of fully automatic, test and measurement systems for LAN Cables (Cat. 5e, 6, 7, 8), IEEE-1394 Cables, USB cables, and telecom cables. Test solutions include low-frequency test sets for capacitance and resistance, and high-frequency test sets for crosstalk, attenuation, impedance, return loss, transfer impedance, LCL and many other high-frequency parameters. Test solutions include bench-top and portable test sets, as well as fully automatic 4-pair, 25-pair and 102-pair systems. DCM also offers a 100MHz xDSL upgrades for testing DSL cables.
