Technology control instruments for wire and cable industry
Established 15 years ago, ERMIS, Russia, specialises in the design and manufacture of wire and cable control equipment. Of particular interest is the company’s line of length measuring units, Delta™, which can be used for very thick wires (from 0.15mm Ø) and for large power cables (to 90mm Ø). ERMIS also supplies its line of contactless diameter measurement heads, series Cikada™. This line consists of 1- and 2-axis instruments with laser, CCD or optical lamp and has been designed to measure cables ranging from 0.1 up to 200mm Ø, with an accuracy ±0.005mm. ERMIS also provides a line of high-voltage spark-testers, series Korona™, which consist of DC, industrial AC, audio-frequency and impulse spark-testers. Testing voltage of this instrument can reach 40kV.
Today, most of cable plants in Russia and CIS are equipped with ERMIS instruments. The company’s portfolio includes more than 10 types of instruments for solving any problems of control.
