Bell-type annealing plants for steel wire
LOI Thermprocess GmbH, Germany, specialises in the design and manufacture of bell-type annealing plants that are designed for optimum process reliability, productivity and profitability of steel wires. Innovative and proven technical solutions ensure an extremely clean controlled atmosphere, which is the requirement for highest quality annealed wire. Controlled atmosphere dewpoints of -50°C, and better can be reached. The company also provides an ideal cooling system for any type of applications, such as JET cooling or water spray cooling. The company has recently been awarded a contract from Huanghua Jujin Hardware Products Ltd, P.R China, for an HPH® (high-performance hydrogen) bell-type annealing plant for steel wire to be installed at its new facility in Hebei Province. The plant consists of two annealing bases, one heating hood and one cooling hood. The useful diameter of 4,200mm and the useful height of 4,500mm is adequate for a charge capacity of 80 tonnes. The plant will be used for heat treating cold upsetting grades in an atmosphere of pure hydrogen.
