Inline induction pre-heater

The inline induction wire pre-heater is used to heat the wire prior to extrusion coating processing. It is ideally suitable for the wire and cable industry as it improves the adhesive coating of insulating materials on the conductor as the temperature of the conductor remains the same throughput the run. This process also allows the heat to flow throughout the wire, assuring that no cold patches occur at any line speed and avoiding the wastage of costly raw material.

Puretronics, India, offers a large range of inline induction wire pre-heaters that provides high-quality of final products at higher production speeds. These work on the electrical inductive resistance heating principle, assuring no current flow to other wire line equipment. The heat on the wire is applied evenly regardless of wire diameter and the wire temperature remains constant irrespective of change in line speed. A solid state thyristorised control with line speed encoder feedback provides correct secondary voltage. This system also eliminates wire over heating during eventual production stop. Current over-load protected, Puretronics’ preheaters are supplied with on-line voltmeter power on heating with auto/manual selection and heating potentiometer for ease of operation and quicker setting.

Puretronics’ inline induction wire pre-heaters are suitable for copper, aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel and thermocouple wires. They improve the product’s final quality, its dielectric properties and the line speed. Efficient and clean, they also improves the adhesion of insulating materials on the conductor by cleaning water and oil residues. In addition, Puretronics offers high-speed models with AC inverters.
