An innovative range of drawing benches
With over 65 years experience in the design and construction of material for drawing steel, copper, aluminum and precious metals, Lutz & Krempp Industries (LKI), France, provides the industry with bull blocks and straight-line wire drawing machines, decoilers, coilers, spoolers and ancillary equipment such as pointing machines, coil compactors and turk heads.
LKI has recently introduced a new range of drawing benches, the BET series that comprises hydraulic and chain drawing benches. The hydraulic drawing benches have been especially developed for laboratories and manufacturers of small or special shapes. They feature a maximum drawing pull rate ranging from 0 up to 5,000daN and are suitable for drawing lengths ranging from 1,000 up to 5,000mm (depending on the drawing pull). The chain drawing benches are specially developed for manufacturers of bars, tubes and standard shapes. This series of machines feature the following characteristics:
- Maximum drawing pull range 1: from 0 up to 2,000daN;
- Maximum drawing pull range 2: from 2,500 up to 20,000daN;
- Maximum drawing pull range 3: 25,000daN and over;
- Drawing length: starting from 5,000mm.
These drawing benches can be equipped with an introducing bar system, pointing equipment, wire induction heating systems, drawing pull measuring systems, oil and soap lubricating systems, automatic or piloted jaw opening systems, flags, return bench, etc. The company’s engineers are also available to adapt LKI’s standard and special equipment to meet each customer’s requirements.
