Innovative dry multi-pass drawing line

Teurema (Técnica Europea de Maquinaria) Sl, Spain, designs, manufactures and supplies the ferrous wire industry with equipment such as cold rolling lines, multi-pass dry drawing lines, horizontal and vertical spoolers, static coilers, as well as pay-off and take-up lines for treatment plants.

Teurema has recently developed its new LT range of machines which comprises dry multi-pass drawing lines for production, at up to 25m/sec, of high or low-carbon fine wires ranging from 10 to 0.8mm Ø, and featuring metallised or ceramic capstans. Dies can be replaced by rolling cassettes, achieving higher speeds, lower absorbed power, less lubricant consumption, horizontal and vertical spoolers or static coilers with fully automatic pattern laying winding systems. The LT range of dry multi-pass drawing machines can also be supplied with several options, such as dust extraction systems, rotating dies, accumulation capstans, ceramic coating of the capstans, wire diameter measuring devices and take-up of the wire in the last capstan (stripper).

The company also offers its range of single block drawing lines, series TH and TV, suitable for wire inlets of 35mm Ø maximum and maximum pulling force of 30,000kg. These two series can be delivered with different sizes, designs (horizontal or vertical shaft) and with single or double draft. Depending on the application, they can be adapted to coil with stripper, coiler or spooler. Furthermore, Teurema’s portfolio of machines comprises the TH-300 drawing lines designed for the production of drawn wire up to 35mm Ø; the LS range which includes stretching lines for hot rolled wire rod from 5.5 up to 16mm Ø at speeds up to 10 m/s and designed to operate both integrated with mesh welding lines or for take up in spools or coils; and the LG-EC range which features cold rolling lines or hot rolled rod stretching lines with inline straightening and cutting for production of ribbed wire bars starting from wire rod coils, at a maximum speed of 7m/s.
