SETIC – Gauder Group pay-offs and take-ups
SETIC says its patented triple twist technology is now the most economical solution for the production of LAN cables with the highest performances (such as Category 6, 6+, 7 and 8) at speeds that are between 30 and 50% higher than on any conventional double twist twinner.
In this field, SETIC has recently developed next generation machines, which feature a horizontal triple twist pay-off designed to increase production speeds by 2000 twists a minute and produce a 100% backtwist pair. This DHD TT 560 triple twist pay-off enables the use of a conventional new or an existing double twist twinner, while keeping the flexibility of the line for other products.
Especially suitable for the upgrading of existing twinning lines, it reduces investment costs by increasing the total production capacity without the addition of a take-up twinner. Installed in an existing machine, this pay-off has given the machine the ability to produce Category 6/6E cables at a rate of up to 6000 twists/minute.
With a very compact construction, the DHD TT 560 offers savings in total investment, floorspace requirements and maintenance operations. It has four AC motors and no brush so power consumption, shipment costs and so on are low. It also improves cable quality via the use of full tension control, a compact bow design, a horizontal cable path straight to the double twist twinner and a 100% back-twist process. Fewer machines are also required to provide the equivalent production capacity.
