Powered and non-powered stands
Huestis Industrial offers a wide range of pay-off and take-up stands, including powered and non-powered pay-off stands. Pay-off and take-up stands are also offered in both shaftless and arbour style configurations.The Huestis ‘Roll-On/Roll-Off’ design allows operators to load and unload reels weighing up to 2500lb without having to lift them. This eliminates the need for overhead lifts and fork trucks, and reduces reel change-over times.
A built-in bevel edge, proven in more than 35 years of continuous service in wire and cable plants, also allows the reels to be easily rolled into place.
The Huestis TU5000 with mechanical traverse, for example, is capable of handling 16 to 50" diameter reels and can be customised to include the proper drive, motor and reducer to suit individual requirements. A heavy-duty welded con-struction also provides for years of trouble free service. Similarly, powered pay-off stands can also be ‘customised’ to suit individual needs.
Non-powered pay-off stands come with mechanical drag brakes, but optional pneu-matic and electric brakes are also offered. Utilising self-lubricating bronze bearings and hardened arbours, the Huestis family of pay-off stands is simple to use yet rugged and reliable. All non-powered stands are also offered with optional castors to enable portability.
