Cable production lines from Qingdao Xingle

Qingdao Xingle Electrical Machinery is located in Qingdao, China, and is a private company dedicated to the manufacture of wire and cable equipment. Its leading products include triple-layer co-extrusion dry cure XLPE cable production lines, for wires and cables capable of carrying 6 to 110kV, which feature pay-off and take-up stands as standard.

By combining the electrical and mechanical parts, the pay-offs are able to move back and forth on rails to maintain the centre line of the wire being worked on. The paying-off drum is clamped by a pintle, and the drum lifting and lowering on the right and left columns, or its going in and out of the pintle, are driven by AC motors.

The main drive of the pay-off is based on a 7.5kW DC motor, which operates via a gearbox speed reducer, and is controlled by a four-quadrant reversible controller. The DC driving controller is a 590+ series digital drive made by the UK-based company Eurotherm. It is also equipped with a PLC and electrical parts made by LG of South Korea, and is operated via a touchscreen display.

The pay-off motion is accomplished via an AC motor and a speed reducer, which moves a distance of one pitch when the drum makes a turn. The integral computer tells the AC motor when to start, based on the diameter of the conductor.
