Prize-winning wire and cable plant equipment

Established in 1987, U-Gear Automatic Machinery is a professional manufacturer of wire and cable plant equipment. The company’s main products include automatic coilers, wire packing machines, double-spindle winding machines for UTP and STP Category 5 networking cables, wire twisting tie machines, cable extruding machines, and other types of wire and cable manufacturing machines.

In 1993 U-Gear’s microcomputer-based UG-800 automatic spooler won a new research award presented by the Taiwan Department of the Economy, while the company’s president, Mr Teng Kui Yu, won a quality award. Later that year, the UG-831 also won a new research award, and in 1996 the same machine won the Silver medal at the Nuremberg World Invention Exhibition in Germany. U-Gear has also won the Golden Brain of Taiwan award.
