Ceramics for drawing, guiding and bunching
For more than 20 years Cemanco has supplied the wire and cable industries with ceramics for wire drawing, guiding and bunching, and guide pulleys in a variety of materials, ranging from solid ceramic to ceramic-coated aluminum and steel, ceramic/aluminum composites and plastic materials like Ceram-P and UHMW.
Also available is a full line of wire guide rollers and straighteners. The wire guides for flat and round material can be vertically and horizontally adjusted to maintain the centre line of the wire or have a fixed opening, and the company’s stan-dard programme includes more than 30 models for up to 250mm material.
Cemanco wire straighteners handle material dimensions from 0.1mm to 40mm, and multiple planes with five to 13 rollers each are available, as well as driven straighteners and feeding units.
Cemanco’s product line for winding systems begins with a precise, inexpensive and easy to handle mechanical linear drive. This KMK rolling ring traverse comes in several sizes and can be equipped with a mechanical spool flange sensor.
The latest development is a laser-controlled, electronic winding system, known as the Autowinder, which has been designed for the precise level winding of very fine wire
and bundle wire.
Up to eight different spool sizes, including for conical or biconical spools, can be programmed into this system, which can be integrated into existing take-ups but is also available as a stand-alone spooler. As a tabletop model it weighs as little as 60kg.
The product line is completed by a programme of flyer pay-offs for statically spooled wire, and a motorised pay-off system for dynamically spooled wire that is able to handle 630 and 800mm spools. The high precision, low cost flyer pay-offs can be equipped with permanent magnet, pneumatic and electromagnetic brakes and are available for spool sizes of up to 1000mm.
