ETK pushes braiding boundaries
Eurotekne Industriale (ETK) is at the fore-front of developing new technology in the field of textile and metallic braiding machines.
At wire 2006 the company showcased
its new machine capable of working both textiles and metals, for example nomex fibre, tinned-copper fibre and also optical fibres.
This machine will be of most interest to companies working in the aeronautics industry. ETK says: “It will solve in an intelligent way what was, until recently, thought impossible.”
The company also manufactures braiding machines to be used in the production of carbon covered wire, braided wire
for stranded cables, optic fibres, sheathing for tubes, braided ropes and cords, fancy braids and suture threads for surgery.
