This leading UK manufacturer of cold pressure welding equipment has developed a new compact hydraulic rod welder designed for fast, economical welding of non-ferrous rod.
The P1000 has a wide capacity of 6mm up to 16mm copper and 20mm aluminium. The small footprint, approximately 1200mm square and gross weight of 1477kg, make the welder ideal for use in small workshops.
The P1000 is also extremely simple to operate, eliminating the need for all but the most basic operator training. The machine’s front panel slopes and the mechanics are angled to allow for easy viewing of the cold weld process, which is completed in less than a minute, with auto-deflashing on completion.
New quick release dies and an easily adjustable die setting mechanism ensure that die changeover is fast and problem-free.

The machine’s operating system is controlled by an advanced and easy to use programmable logic controller (PLC) which takes the hydraulic system through the required welding sequence.
Power consumption is minimal and the P1000 requires no heat, flux or fillers, so no dangerous fumes are generated and the machine is clean and safe to operate.
