Tensor Machinery is celebrating over 20 years of supplying equipment to the wire and cable industry. The company's focus is to produce reliable and technically advanced machinery for manufacturers of optical fibre cables as well as other cabling applications such as power and LAN cables.
Tensor has developed complete lines for premise fibre cables and various equipment for popular Fibre to the Home (FTTH) cables. Sales manager Ken Luterbach claims: "Our armouring lines, roll-formers and yarn servers continue to be a standard in these cable markets."
He continues: "Some of the latest developments have occurred in the SZ stranding of power cables and signal wires. By SZ stranding these cables in line with jacketing the result has been an increase in production speeds, elimination of cabling processes, and a reduction in the overall cable product costs."
Tensor is based in Montreal, Canada and is staffed by engineers with over 60 years combined experience.
Additionally the company operates a sales and service office in the USA as well as a network of agents around the globe.
