Vapor-Tek on anti corrosion
All aluminium (AA) and aluminium conductors steel reinforced (ASCR) are prone to corrosion, especially in industrial and marine environments.
To respond to the need for a really effective corrosion preventive grease, Vapor-Tek has developed Cablegard that has shown over a period of 20 years, to be highly effective in preventing corrosion and thus extending the life of conductors. It consists of a synergistic blend of corrosion inhibitors, penetrating aids, metals’ deactivators and age resistors in a highly refined, gelled mineral oil.
Cablegard protects all major metals and alloys and is especially effective on steel, aluminium and zinc. It is applied during the manufacture of the conductor at room-temperature, straight from the drum.
In this instance Cablegard eliminates both the crevice corrosion and galvanic corrosion caused by dissimilar metals in mutual contact.
