Reducing maintenance costs, the Balloffet way
The French company Balloffet has been manufacturing dies for wire drawing
since 1870. Now, in 2005, with several subsidiaries and a network of agents,
the company is a worldwide operation.
As Balloffet Die Corporation it has operated in the US since 1904; as BDWD in the UK since 1925; and as Balloffet GmbH in Germany since 1996.
Balloffet’s product range comprises: natural diamond dies from 6 µ to 2.5mm; mono-crystalline dies from 6 µ to 0.5mm; polycrystalline (PCD) dies from 50µ
to 28mm; compacting, stranding and
special shaped dies; enamelling guides; extrusion tooling (guides and dies); special tooling with diamond inserts; repolishing machines and equipment.
Balloffet’s services include: repolishing dies; training of operators and technicians either in its own training centre or at the customer’s plant; and compiling technical reports on customers dies.
