AWM processing equipment for heavy wires

AWM specialises in the supply of cold rolling equipment for the processing of heavy wires used as reinforcement in concrete buildings, but the company is also active in wire drawing machinery. AWM’s range of machines comprises three basic models which can be then customised upon specific request.

Model LAM 512 is a cold rolling and straightening machine for the production of straight bars of ribbed or smooth wire, starting from coils of wire rod, and integrates two machines in one. In fact, the line includes a motorised Turks Head for the cold rolling process, followed by a straightening and cutting unit with bar collecting bench. The basic machine has a working speed up to 2m/s, while the new special version LAM 512 Superfast can reach a speed of 6m/s and is recommended for large producers of reinforcing steel bars.

The models 6 MT and 12 MT are cold rolling lines suitable to produce ribbed or smooth wire in coils up to 3 tonnes, starting from low-carbon wire rod. Both models are equipped with cold rolling cassettes giving a very quick changeover time. The 6 MT machine is equipped with a vertical-axis spooler and reaches a speed of 6m/s, processing wire from 4-12mm.

The 12 MT model features a horizontal-axis spooler and a maximum working speed of 12m/s. The range of diameters is the same for both models. AWM also supplies special cold rolling equipment for the production of wire in coils up to 16mm.

Thanks to its flexibility and technology, AWM also supplies machines for the production of cold-reduced flat profiles, starting from low-carbon wire rod.
